Travelling with a Baby: Korea Day 2 & 3 [[Revisiting N Tower + Myeongdong + Children's Grand Park]]

Day 2 of our Korea trip saw us taking things slow with just two agenda to fulfil: revisiting N Tower to hang a new love lock and Myeongdong for some shopping!

But first a wefie! :)

N Tower
Directions to cable car ride: walk for about 10~15 minutes following the street of the right side of the Pacific Hotel, after coming out of the exit 3 of Myeong-dong Station (line 4)
Opening time: 1000-2300

Ticket: 8500won/pax, return ticket (chidrem under 36 months old travel for free)

We decided to bring Miss Kwek to N Tower to hang a new love lock for our family! Not much has changed since we last came some 3 years ago. Though very unfortunately, our lock which we hang on the heart statue, has either been cleared away or relocated. The heart statue was empty!
The last time we came to N Tower, we saw the night view. This time, we saw the day view. Though the view was not as beautiful as the night view, the place looks pretty, much more cheerful in the day with all the vibrant colorful locks!
After wandering around for a little, admiring the city view, we proceeded to purchase our lock and sat down to decorate it before finding an auspicious spot to hang it.
Then after, we camwhore a little more before heading to Myeongdong.
Myeongdong
Myeongdong, which we remembered to be very crowded, was less crowded this time round when we went, due to some political issues between Korea and China (if I am not wrong).

Though the crowd was lesser than usual, the shopping streets were still as colorful as it used to be! A beauty shopping heaven for every girl. Unfortunately, I didn't get to shop much because our luggage was still fully filled with Miss Kwek's barangs. lol. But it's ok! Window shopping around was pretty therapeuthic too.
Spotted a few shops with pretty interesting interior and the kpo nature of us headed in to look see look see and.... camwhore! lol. Didn't get scolded by the staff, so I guess it was a common sighting to them.
These are the only photos I have for Myeongdong because, I was either busy looking at children things or was looking out for Laneige shop. lol.

We ended our day with take aways again because many restaurants situated along the streets, do not have baby chairs! It came as a surprise to us since Korea is encouraging their citizen to have more children!

But well, its ok for us as Miss Kwek sleeps early and we are totally fine with heading back to our apartment to slack the rest of the night away with K-dramas.

Day 3: Children's Grand Park
Day 3 was a full day delicated to our little one to have some fun. We spent the whole day at the Children's Grand Park which was surprisingly good. This is the perks of travelling with a baby. It gets you going to places that have never crossed your mind! lol.

Children's Grand Park (서울 어린이대공원)
Address:  216, Neungdong-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, Korea (Neung-dong)
Direction: Line 2, transit at Konkuk Univ. to Line 7, 11 stops, Exit 1

Ticket: Free admission, 6,500won (adult), 5,000won (child) for animal show
The Children's Grand Park is a huge park housing various family facilities like a mini zoo, indoor play grounds, different themed indoor educational centers, amusement park and botanical gardens. Easily accessible via the subway, the Children's Grand Park is one place I personally recommend visiting for a day of fun should you have young children.

Rental of strollers and nursing rooms are available too, adding on to the convenience factor. There is also no need to worry about food as food stalls are available within the park.

It was interesting to see so many local families with young children here as we did not see much young children roaming the streets in Seoul!

Upon entering the park, we were greeted by the little prince status.
There is also a huge map of the park showing where the various attractions were. We only managed to visit three of the attractions during our short day in the park.
We made our way to the stroller rental counter to rent a stroller for Miss Kwek before embarking on our adventure. Highly recommended to rent a stroller as there are some mildly steep slopes around the park which makes carrying a child around really tedious!

After wiping clean the stroller to our best ability and settling Miss Kwek in, we headed off to explore the park randomly.

Children's Museum
The first building that attracted us was the children's museum. Not knowing what to expect, we made our way in to explore. It turned out to be a great choice!
Within the building house an indoor play centre. Admission fee is 4,000W per adult, unlimited play time with re-entry. It was money well-spent. Miss Kwek had so much fun! We spent close to two hours in total, exploring the various features.

There are a total of four levels surrounding different themes. Some were suitable for older children while others are baby-friendly. The centre is also built to be stroller-friendly with both slopes and elevators access to all levels.
Miss Kwek was exhausted from all the fun she had! While she napped in the carrier, we decided to explore the park's open area in search of food.

It was an amazingly cute sight to see so many local families having their tents all set up and having picnic in the park! Just like how we see it in K-dramas and varieties.
Along the way, we also spotted the nursing room which was cutely housed in mushroom structures.
We soon came across a food-court alike building and decided to have lunch there. Food was not too bad and wasn't terribly expensive.
After Miss Kwek woke up from her nap, we continued our exploration at the mini zoo aka the animal villages!

Animal Villages (Mini Zoo)
The mini zoo comprises of many different villages that housed different spieces of animals. It was surprisingly huge. I must say it was not too bad for a mini zoo within a park. Miss Kwek got to see many animals whom she had yet to meet in her eight months on planet earth! lol.

Soon enough, it was almost time to leave the park. We took a leisure stroll in the botanical gardens before leaving.

Botanical Garden
The gardens is situated within an air-conditional building. It' quite small and doesn't take very long to finish the short circular stroll. The many greens actually reminds me of our little red dot-Singapore! :)
And so, this concluded our slow-paced third day in Seoul! Next entry will feature a short review on a family photoshoot session we had on the last day we were in Seoul. So do stay tune!
